At Whitmore, we use the Little Wandle phonics scheme.  This allows us to deliver whole class lessons in EYFS and KS1, and targeted intervention groups in KS1 and KS2.  We currently use the Purple Mash spelling scheme, but we have changed the order of some of the units to reflect the needs of our children.  The order of units for both phonics and spelling may be adjusted throughout the year, based on our ongoing assessment of the children and their progress.  Our English subject leaders are Mrs Eley, Miss Channing and Miss Jaconelli.
