Whitmore Primary School and Nursery

Nursery

Whitmore Primary School and Nursery benefits from our own on-site nursery which offers the following sessions for 3 and 4-year-olds.

AM only sessions (08:30 - 11:30)

PM only sessions (12:30 - 15:30)

Full day sessions (08:30 - 15:30)

Our provision is currently oversubscribed and we have a waiting list in place. To talk to a member of staff about nursery admissions, please contact the school office and ask for Mrs Keeble.

Funded entitlement hours of either 15 or 30 hours can be used within our nursery provision. Some parents, who have a 15-hour entitlement, choose to top up the funded hours to 30 hours by privately paying for an additional 15 hours. Within the academic year 2025/26, the cost of this top up is £83.10 a week, which is the equivalent of £5.54 per hour.

Within the school year, the nursery has lots of fun days that are subsidised by the school. Each year, the nursery organises a farm to come to visit the children. For this event, a voluntary chargeable extra of £15 (within the 2025/26 academic year) is requested from parents.
